Warrant Officer Labuschagne will be remembered.

It is of great sadness that Kwa-Thema South African Police Services (SAPS) has lost a member, Warrant Officer Bernadette Labuschagne after a long illness.

The Warrant Officer joined the SAPS in 01 January 1989, with pride and dedication. She served in the Balfour SAPS in 1991, Johannesburg central in 1992 and Brakpan SAPS in 1997 until 2011 where she resigned after 20 years of service.

She was reinstated back into the South African Police Service in 01 January 2016 and was stationed in Kwa-Thema SAPS until she met her untimely death on 05 May 2019.

Kwa-Thema has lost an experienced, dedicated member. Some described her as a friendly and approachable person in the memorial service that was held today at EMPD Training Academy in Kwa-Thema.

She will be missed, the role she played to ensure the safety of the Kwa-Thema community and that of her colleagues.

Warrant Officer Labuschagne’s official funeral service will take place tomorrow at 11 a.m. at the Lig Huis Gemeente in Brenthurst, Brakpan.

May her soul Rest in Peace.
