Nosipho Hani Khumalo (21) born in Vosloorus, granddaughter of stalwart and South African Hero – Chris Hani. At age 20 she decided to embark on her journey of fulfilling not only her dream but her late grandfather’s dream and she has done this in more ways than one during the course of 2017 and 2018. Her undying passion for humanity and knowledge are the prime reasons to her twenty one titles, namely a National Secretary for University Sports of South Africa, NUSA Executive, Deputy Editor at Sefako Makgatho Health Sciences University, Table Tennis Chairperson at Sefako Makgatho Health Sciences University, Women’s Football Chairperson at Sefako Makgatho Health Sciences University, Sefako Makgatho Health Sciences University ambassador, National Youth Ambassador, Mentor at Crash Course (Tutoring service), Tutor at Crash Course, Founder of Crash Course, Founder of Plugcityhype (Entertainment), Writer at Plugcityhype, Tutor at Pfuxani (Eskom initiative), Project Leader at Lokukhetha (NPO Women and girls Organisation), Writer, Poet, Facilitator, MC, Motivational Speaker, Academic and Corporate Event coordinator and a Student (Aspiring Neurosurgeon)- Making her the youngest multi-titled youth candidate. The young leader has a lot on her sleeves.
Plugcityhype is an entertainment agency helping the youth to reach their dreams though their God given talents. They provide PR management, advertising, events management and planning as well as media coverage. She also explains that Crash Course is a tutoring, Au Pair and mentoring service which is aimed to both the IEB and GDE learners from Grades 1-12. “Our vision is to strengthen weaknesses and empower the youth on how to live a positive lifestyle ultimately saving the youth from not only poverty but trouble too.” says Nosipho.
Nosipho has worked alongside Nelisiwe Sibiya at the Women in Power Summit in August 2018, Dr. N Dlamini-Zuma at the Youth Month Launch in June 2018, Melanie Bala at the True shine awards in August 2018 and the Minister of Science and Technology at the Youth Science Expo in June 2018, just to name a few. She has also been on Cliff Central, Germiston City News, Focus ON, Morning Live and Kasi Vibes.
“Jot down all your goals and declutter your life, remove negativity and use the 80/20 rule” Nosipho advises anyone with goals but no direction or stepping stone. She adds that one must pay attention to the 20% of things that yield 80% of their dreams.
