Mafscience Private Tutoring Company makes that possible by offering extra tuition and exam preparation to matriculants, as well as aftercare for primary school learners who they assist with homework, assignments, projects and extramural activities.

Mafscience was established by Sibusiso Johnsons Mafuyanduna in 2016, who was looking to make a meaningful and sustainable academic impact on the lives of learners in their primary and secondary school education journey, so they can reach their full potential.

Mafuyanduna wishes to help the learners master subjects such as Mathematics, Mathematical Literacy, Technical Maths, Physical Science, Technical Science, Accounting, and English, by providing holistic support and guidance in their education, which in turn enables them to make choices that empowers them for self-sustainability.

Gala dinner held on 6 April 2019

On the 6th of April 2019, the tutoring company hosted a gala dinner launch at the Springs Hellenic Hall in Springs,, to create awareness about the existence of the company. The launch was a success, as it had almost 200 people in attendance, which included the Gauteng East district director, the Chief Whip of African National Congress (ANC) in the Gauteng Legislature, Master teacher Mrs Padi; M r Masher, who is the former principal of JE Malepe High School in Tsakane,, other educators, as well ae parents, who all attended to support the programme which is helping learners with the critical subjects.

The Mafscience Private Tutoring Company says it has successfully conducted classes with pleasing results. “Since 2017 with 44 learners (grads 111 and 12), we had 92% pass rate, and on the following year 2018 the pass rate went up to 98%, with 92 learners. This year, 208 learners  have registered,” explains Mafuyanduna.

The classes for the High School programme are held at Tlakula High School, in Kwa-Thema, during the week and also on weekends, while the aftercare programme only takes place during the week m Mondays to Thursdays – at the  New Life Church on Kotane Street, Kwa-Thema.
