Parliament’s Presiding Officers to hold a Media Briefing today.

It is back to business as usual. Parliament’s Presiding Officers will be holding a media briefing today at 1 pm to discuss the proceedings for the first State Of the Nation Address (SONA) for the 6th Parliament of the Republic of South Africa.

Ms. Thandi Modisa, Speaker of the National Assembly, and Mr. Amos Masondo, Chairperson of the National Council of Provinces, are expected to be leading Parliament’s Presiding Officers at the media briefing at 1 pm today from the National Assembly Building, in the Western Cape. This briefing will be providing details about all aspects of the sixth Parliament’s state of readiness to host the SONA by Head of State President Cyril Ramaphosa.

The first SONA for the sixth Parliament of the Republic of South Africa will take place on 20 June at 7 pm.
