Founder and Chief Executive Officer of eKasi Entrepreneurs as well as Founders@Work, Elvis Sekhaolelo, is a serial social entrepreneur, philanthropist, a navigator and networker of note. He oozes and possesses massive passion for coaching, developing, mentoring and training township entrepreneurs.
Elvis runs eKasi Entrepreneurs, a movement that is shaping the state of the townships & rural areas through skills development, public-private collaborations & social innovations among township entrepreneurs. eKasi Entrepreneurs is known as one of the biggest entrepreneurship networks in the Republic of South Africa.
Through his skills and expertise, he has built a team that is a force to be reckoned with in the entrepreneurship space. Since inception, eKasi Entrepreneurs have collaborated with multiple strategic partners in hosting progressive national events, initiatives and projects; that directly or indirectly benefit township businesses, whether financially or non-financially.
His list of networks and collaborations through the institutions he founded and leads include Gauteng Enterprise Propeller (GEP), National Youth Development Agency (NYDA), Department of Small Business, Department of Trade & Industry, Absa, FNB, Standard Bank, EntBanc, Bowmans, Sizwe Ntsaluba Gobodo, Wits Business School, Cape Peninsula University of Technology, City of Johannesburg, South African Institute of Chartered Accountants (SAICA), The Hope Factory, Western Cape Economic Development, News Café, The Shanduka Umbrella, and many more. These are big institutions with lots of processes, stiff terms & conditions, strict rules & regulations making it difficult to penetrate and access, but Mr Sekhaolelo has managed to crack those public and private codes through the practise of proper networking and strategic collaboration.
Elvis studied Economics & Finance at the University of Cape Town and did an Executive Development Program in Foundations of business at the Stellenbosch Business School.
His accomplishments include him being:
