On Tuesday students from the Ekurhuleni East TVET College Kwa-Thema Campus delivered a memorandum to the Kwa-Thema police at around 9:30 am.
The memorandum entailed the concerns they have about the increase of related domestic violence cases in the community as well as at the college.
The students requested partnership with the police in the fight against gender based violence and other crimes that affect them.
Lieutenant Colonel Tebogo Mokoena received the memorandum on behalf of the Kwa-Thema SAPS management.
He further appreciated the initiative taken by the students to fight against crime. He promised that they will work together in reducing crime and especially domestic violence.
