Amahle is still missing

An eight-year-old girl by the name of Amahle Thabethe from Tsakane Extension 16 has been missing since Saturday after allegedly being kidnapped.

It is alleged that before her kidnapping, Amahle was playing with a group of friends, when they were approached by an African male who asked them for directions. The group ignored the man but Amahle was willing to show him directions and followed him to give him a clear view of where he wanted to go.

She was last seen following the man.

On the day that she disappeared, Amahle was wearing a striped black and white T-shirt with blue jeans that had a heart printed on the side pocket.

A case was opened with the Tsakane South African Police Service (SAPS).

The Police appeal to the community to come forward with any information that may help in finding the girl. The Police’s Family, Child Sexual Violence Unit is still investigating the case and asks those who may have information to not post it on social media platforms, but rather to come to them with it.

Anyone with information can contact the investigating officer, Constable Gungxwana on 078 0482 553.
