Yesterday morning, the Springs South African Police Service was alerted to business robbery in progress at PEP Store at Selcourt Towers, corner of Ramona and Wit Road, Springs.
A sector vehicle patrolling that area was dispatched by radio to the crime scene. It is alleged that four African males who spoke IsiZulu with a foreign accent entered PEP Store. One of the men showed his firearm that was on his waist to the store manager and ordered her to open the tills and safes.
An undisclosed amount and four refuse bags full of cell phones were taken and loaded in a white Toyota Corolla with registration FP 41 DC which the suspect used to flee the scene.
The police are investigating this robbery. A search for these suspects is underway and the police are asking the community to immediately report the mentioned vehicle if they see it “and not to confront the suspects as they are armed and dangerous”, said Sergeant Lerato Mngomezulu on behalf of Springs SAPS station commander Brigadier Thembeka Gwebushe.
